Sarnia, Part Dos

Can you believe it? I think this might be the first time I actually followed up with a second post about the same vacation! Wow, this pre-baby sudden-onset panic burst of energy has been so productive!

I'm making this a quick post, with few words - since I know have an entire file of pictures from our recent vacation to Seattle (perhaps I'll get that post done on maternity leave...ha!) - I wanted to just get these out there.

So, without further ado, some favorite memories...June feels so long ago now.

Taking pics by the beautiful Lake Huron waterfront.

And, being the true boy-of-part-Canadian-descent that he is, we appropriately took him on his first trip to Swiss Chalet

Evening campfires on the beach against the backdrop of a setting sun...always a favorite of mine.

I have always delighted in those final moments of daylight when the silhouetted trees sharply contrast with the amber, golden, purple, red and blue hues of last light...sigh.

Eating our hearts out on a good heart-healthy breakfast. Mmm..grilled bacon. Does it get better than this?

Of course, it tasted so much better because it was enjoyed outside set to the aural backdrop of crashing waves and the visual backdrop of sand, trees, sun and Lake-Huron blue.
I love me the sight of a baby outside in a sassy seat. Harkens back to my childhood camping days...with a family of five kids, the sassy seat was a permanent fixture on any given picnic table.

Other memories:

First beach vacation

Wave-jumping with Auntie K

First pinata experience

First juicy summer watermelon experience. Love that nose wrinkle.

Roadtrip car-dancing. Hands in the air!

Swimming with my boy.

Family of three...for a little longer.
