For all the skeptics out there who think that garage sale shopping is a waste of time, or for the ones who slowly inch by down the street, as they hunch over the steering wheel scoping out the wares all the while telling themselves there's nothing good and it's not worth the time to stop...you NEVER know what you will find.
Check out this great vintage lamp I got (it was the woman's grandmother's) (flowers in the foreground are from my garden :)
And even more exciting is this vintage cake plate! This was originally owned by the woman's great aunt, so I'm estimating it to be circa 1920's or 30's. This find completely made my day! Now...I should bake a cake.
Here's to a great day of garage-saling!

Oh those are so neat! Makes me want to go garage salin' before the summer is over.
Your garden sounds like a lovely place. I know I love mine and all the nice things it endows upon us. Right now I am trying to patiently wait on all the tomatoes to ripen up and am SUPER excited about some watermelons that are getting kindof big! :)
Hello,
What great finds! I LOVE that cake plate!! Going to garage sales is the highlight of my weekends (when I get the chance to go). I've finally sucked up my pride and actually started looking at clothes at garage sales and I've found some pretty cute pieces!
Have a great rest of your summer!
Blessings,
Amanda
