Ah, so thankful that we have noses and tastebuds...this was one delicious summer fare
Barbecue chicken - slow-cooked on grill over indirect heat for 1.5 hours, with that magical
barbecue rub in the beginning and then Sweet Baby Ray's sauce at the end. Mmmm..
And this picture gets "x-large" status because it was incredibly, amazingly delicious sweet corn. Definitely the best we've had all summer.
As usual, Sammy was trying to get a little somethin' (chicken, not corn :)
And on an entirely different note, here's what a normal ovary looks like:

And here's what my ovaries looked like (this is not actually my ultrasound picture -
for some strange reason, they don't print out copies for you to show off in your wallet like they would
if this was an ultrasound of a baby)

See all the 'cysts' (actually just lots of follicles).
And now begins the adventure of a lifetime...my nonchalance fails to betray the actual uncertainty,
fear, anticipation and dread with which I am actually approaching this. Who knew a little pill could be so scary...
Oh, I almost forgot. Today was an exciting day for me. I bought not one, but two (count 'em, TWO) new flash diffusers!! Both made by Gary Fong. One is a puffer, for my pop-up flash (for those days I don't feel like touting around my external flash with the huge and scary-looking lightsphere cloud). I tried to take a picture of it, but it didn't work. Here's my attempt, picture 1 without diffuser, picture 2 with diffuser:
And good ole' Sam was kind enough to pose for me to demonstrate the beauty (and soft, lovely glow) of a photograph taken with the Gary Fong Lightsphere Cloud Flash Diffuser:
Yes, I love photography technology!

Oh my goodness...so much I want to respond to. I love your posts! Always so full of pictures and fun stuff. First off, the chicken looks amazing - Sweet Baby Rays is my husbands absolute favorite bbq sauce. 2nd, the XLG pic of corn is super funny..I was like woahh, what's going on here..till i read about the corn. hehe.
About the ovaries...I was in this pcos study, so i had TONs of ultrasounds and it always cracked me up how the one doctor would always say to the other students/coworkers during the ultrasound(as if i wasn't right there) "oh yes! Perfect textbook example of pcos ovaries..See the ring shape of follicles around the ovaries? perfect" hahaha I still laugh thinking about it.. like is this really something I want to be proud of?
So, you are starting clomid? I wish we were to that point right now of actively trying. I hope it goes well for you and that you conceive quickly! I really do.
Lastly, I LOVE the pics of your cat with the..flash diffusers. I've never heard of those but they made your cat look so amazing! Well, have a good night and I look forward to reading about your journey. Sincerely, Evie :)
